James Suckling: 91/100

Vinous: 91/100

Jancis Robinson: "Extremely flattering nose – almost Pomerolian – and then fleshy on the palate. This has rounded out nicely and provides lots of Castillon value. But, being so sweet and fleshy, it’s an early developer. *Good Value*"

Category: Red, full-bodied.

Appellation: AOC Côtes de Castillon (Bordeaux, right bank near Saint Emlion)

Grapes: Merlot (80%), Cabernet Franc (20%)

Farming: Organic and Biodynamic, Natural winemaking.

About the wine: From one of Bordeaux best wine grower Stephane and Christine Derenoncourt the vineyard is organically and biodynamically farmed witch really reveal the expression of the place in the glass. A must try, that can change people mind about Bordeaux wines!

Taste like: Domaine de l’A smell like fresh black truffle, it's a tonic wine, with relief texture, never exuberant but definitely charming and elegant. The tannins are fine and chalky with a signature slightly salty mineral finish.

When to drink: Drink now or 10 to 20 years after the vintage.

Service: 15-16 degrees C. 30 minutes decanting will be just perfect.

Food match: Very versatile with food this wine will be great with roasted meat or a stew with vegetable and herbs.
