About the wine: Textured and powerfull 1er Cru Chablis. Planted on rich soils with more alluvial soil, intense Fourchaume’s wines are often said they should be elevated to the Grand Cru level. Unoaked.
Taste like: Citrus and subtle almond paste notes. On the palate this wine is powerful and quite textured with ripe white flesh fruits. The finish is long and driven with a lot of finesse.
When to drink: Drink now or in the next 5-6 years.
Service: 8 to 10 C degrees in large burgundy glass.
Food match: Oyster, sushi, goat cheese, shellfish, fish, veal, snails, parsleyed ham, smoked trout and pungent washed-rind cheeses.
