Palate: Purity, depth, excellent volume mid palate. Small black berries lead a rich and balanced palate - this is a very good example of Gevrey-Chambertin at village level. Long expressive finish.
About the wine: Thierry's Gevrey-Chambertin is made from 3.7-hectare vineyard. The vines are planted on clay and limestone soils with different textures of rocks and marls. Vines age varies between 15 and 60 years old.
When to drink: Drink now or in the next 8 to 10 years.
Service: 15 to 16 degrees C. Large Burgundy glass. Decant when young.
Food match: Boeuf bourguignon, slow cooked stew, or duck.
