Category: Red, medium bodied.

Appellation: AOC Cahors (Cahors region)

Grapes: Malbec (100%)

Farming: Sustainable

About the wine: From a winemaking perspective, grapes are sorted when they join the cellar. Each plot is vinified separately, with gentle pumping over to keep a harmonious structure. Wine is aged for 18 to 24 months in old oak pungent with some 40 years old foudre (70hl and 100hl).

Taste like: Very fine, beautiful volume, plenty of black fruits, prunes, blackberries with some spice too. Very Gamot with an delicate brightness and elegance for this vintage. Delicious, digest yet a complex wine with a lively and long finish. 2016 is already one of our favourite vintage from the domaine.

When to drink: Now or in the next 6-10 years.

Service: 15 - 16 degrees C. Cabernet glass. Decant 30 min when young.

Food match: Grilled red meats, Duck magret.
