About the wine: Made from a selected plot from the domaine with limited yield of about 40 hl/ha. The terroir is made of clay, limestone as well as pebbles. Vines are worked sustainably in accordance with the family long tradition. The vinification are shorter with gentle pumping over to give brighter and more approchable Malbec with still plenty of personnality.
Taste like: Beautiful colour, spicy aromas on the noise blended with red berries (strawberries, raspberry) and cherry. Notes of fresh tabacco, lovely mid palate with plenty of red and black fruits, lovely fresh texture and balance. Spicy finish. A quenching wine with plenty of enjoyment in the glass yet some of the Clos de Gamot spirit!
When to drink: Now or in the next 4-6 years.
Service: 15 - 16 degrees C.
Food match: Grilled red meats, tapas or a burger.
