Tim Atkin Master of Wine: 93/100
Category: Dry white
If you like: Textured and powerfull 1er Cru Chablis.
Taste like: Top 1er Cru vineyard, planted on rich soils with more alluvial soil, intense Fourchaume’s wines are often said they should be elevated to the Grand Cru level. Clotilde’s 2016 Fourchaume shows how talented she is also on tricky vintage. The result is impressive, very expressive on the noise, citrus, almond and white flowers. As usual powerfull, charming and rich. Texture is delightfull and fleshy while still balanced thannks to the acidity of the wine. Peach, pineapple with a driven mineral finish. We recommend to give the wine a bit or air in your glass. Unoaked.
