Appellation: AOC Meursault (Burgundy region)
Grapes: Chardonnay (100%)
Aromatics: Very expressive, with notes of citrus, butter, spice, vanilla and oak.
Palate: This Meursault from Domaine Nudant is everything we want from a Meursault - creamy textured, rich and lengthy. On the palate, it shows a deep sense of place through purity, minerality and texture, compared to most heavy weight Meursault. Impressive length and finish for a village Meursault.
About the wine: White Meursault from Nudant is a benchmark. We have always been impressed by the Nudant’s ability to vinify white Burgundy at such a level. Aged in barrel, some new oak, battonage at the start.
When to drink: Drink now or in the next 10 years.
Service: 12 to 14 degrees C. Large Burgundy glass.
Food match: Rich roast poultry, fish in creamy sauce with mushroom, sushi or prawns.
