About the wine: Vosne Romanée is one the most famous village in Burgundy, home to some of the best wines on the planet including Echezeaux Grand Cru, La Romanée Conti or La Tache... From 0.94 hectares, Nudant's Vosne Romanée vineyard is located near the Clos Vougeot. The vineyard is exposed to the East, altitude 320 meters, with old vines that are more than 50 years old on chalky clay soils. Made of low yield (37 hectoliters) it gives very intense wines. The Nudant family started working in the vine in 1453, today rising star Guillaume Nudant in is 30's is taking the 16 hectares family estate to even higher level of quality by challenging himself while keeping a close eye on tradition and knowledge of generations past. 5 000 bottles produced.
Taste like: Nudant's Vosne Romanée expresses itself beautifully with an intense colour and a nose made up of dark berries such as blackberries, blueberries and subtle spicy aromas from the aging in 20% new oak barrel. This wine is both powerful and elegant in the same time with very high quality silky tannins that will coat the entire inside of your mouth. Very lond finish. It will develop for a least the next 15 years.
When to drink: Drink now or in the next 10-15 years.
Service: 14 to 15 degrees C. Large Burgundy glass. We recommend to decant for 1 hour in its youth.
