About the wine: 20 years old vines in the “Cote Blonde” area made of schist and clay. Lieu dit Bertholon and Boucharainne in the 320 to 380 meters altitude plateau. “Les Grandes Parcelles” is consider a baby Cote Rotie, some vintage it includes an amount of declassified Cote Rotie fruit. Hand harvested, partially destemmed, followed by traditional vinification. Aged in barrels.
Taste like: Dark color, very expressive on the noise, violet, blackberries, in the air. Elegant, intense with dark cherries, spice, black pepper, small black berries, fine tannins, ripe and balanced fleshy texture. Long driven and fresh finish.
When to drink: Drink now or in the next 4-5 years.
Service: 14 to 15 degrees. Cabernet glass. Decant 30 min when young.
Food match: Slow cooked meat dish, grilled meat with roast vegetable, meat stew.
