About the wine: Vosne Romanée is one the most famous village in Burgundy, home to some of the best wines on the planet including Echezeaux Grand Cru, La Romanée Conti or La Tache... From 0.94 hectares, Nudant's Vosne Romanée vineyard is located near the Clos Vougeot. The vineyard is exposed to the East, altitude 320 meters, with old vines that are more than 50 years old on chalky clay soils. Made of low yield (37 hectoliters). 20% new oak.
Taste like: Very aromatic and floral, rose petal, sour cherry, power yet plenty of finesse. Beauty with muscle. Will benefit a lot from decanting. Lenght and finish are pretty impressive.
When to drink: Drink now or in the next 10-15 years after vintage.
Service: 15-16 degrees C. Decant for 1 hour minimum. Large Burgundy glass.
Food match: Beef bourguignon, slow cooked meat stew or duck.
