About the wine: Fine red wine from Burgundy! Mortet is a family name intimately connected to Gevrey-Chambertin. Charles Mortet started the success story in 1956 with a single hectare of vines. Then in 1992 is splitted the vineyard in beetween his two sons; Denis, and Thierry the youngest started his own Domaine that now produce about 30 000 bottles a year. Thierry produce only about 1200 bottles of Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Beaux Bruns.
Taste like: This site carry well its name 'Les Beaux Bruns' giving wines of extreme finesse, softness and silkiness on the palate. Smooth tannins, structured volume mid palate, purity, notes of black cherries, savory powerful mineral finish. A very classy wine indeed.
When to drink: Drink now or in the next 10 years.
Service: 15 to 16 degrees C in large Burgundy glass. Decant when young.
Food match: Roast quale, turkey, slow cooked game.
