Aromatics: Beautiful floral notes alongside stone fruit, spice and ripe lemon. Aromatic terroir cues of smokiness also apparent.
Palate: A classically richer style as expected of Alsace, yet still finishes dry. The palate leads with notes of stone fruit, with hazelnut and a hint of wet stone minerality.
About the wine: Handpicked Riesling grown on marl, limestone soils. Partially undergoes a short whole bunch soak for four days, to allow for an improved natural, malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged in stainless steel tanks.
When to drink: Drink now or in the next 5-6 years.
Service: 10 to 12 degrees C.
Food match: Choucroute, Japanese seafood dishes, raw seafood, onion tart, shellfish, white meats, roast pork, dim sum.
