Category: Spirits.

Appellation: AOC Bas-Armagnac (Gascony)

Grapes: Folle Blanche, Colombard.

Alcohol: 43%.

About this spirits: Cognac and Whisky. But fancy and refined, like delicious alcoholic caramel. Prada is a tiny family owned and operate one person business, producing Armagnac from their own vineyard since god knows when. Every bottle is bottled by hand at order. This XO spend at least 11 years in a barrel instead of 6 by law.

Taste like: Beautiful golden color with candied apricot and mandarin aromas. The palate is rich, dominated by candied orange, vanilla, spice and chocolate notes with a smooth texture.

When to drink: Drink now and for the next 50-100 years.

Service: Neat in a small wine glass or a whisky glass.

Food match: Duck breast with honey, cep mushroom omelet. Fruit-based desserts such as Tarte Tatin. We could also recommend a creme caramel or chocolate.
