Nestled in the Vercors mountains, a diverse and resilient flora thrives—edelweiss, mountain thyme, wild mallow, juniper, elderflower, and alpine mint among them. These plants form the backbone of Distillerie L’Entropie, founded in 2021 by lifelong friends Léa and David.

After years in industry, they traded corporate careers for a life closer to their values: respect for nature, protection of biodiversity, and the joy of creating and sharing. And, it must be said, a love of skiing, hiking and all that mountain life has to offer!

Their micro-distillery in the Vercors reflects this ethos, producing organic spirits that capture the vibrancy of the mountains. All botanicals are either certified organic or wild-foraged locally, with spring water from the Alps completing the foundation. Distillation takes place in “Monique,” their custom 150L copper alambic, allowing small-batch precision. Every stage, from maceration and distillation to bottling and labeling, is done by hand.

Sustainability underpins their philosophy—green energy, water stewardship, water-based glue for labels, and composting byproducts through bokashi. The result is a rare collection of terroir spirits, pure and nuanced, that channel both the wild Vercors landscape and the spirit of their founders.

Each spirit is a true expression of the Vercors. Vodka de Fleurs captures the delicacy of alpine blossoms, lifted with notes of mallow and elderberry. Liqueur Alpine ‘Flore du Vercors’ draws on 13 mountain plants to create a vibrant, herbaceous balance reminiscent of Chartreuse, yet uniquely its own. Gin Jeunes Pousses & Vieilles Branches brings together nine botanicals in a refreshing, juniper-led profile, layered with floral lift and mountain freshness.
