Aromatics: Highly perfumed, with typical varietal notes of ginger, pineapple, and sweet spice.

 

Palate: The aromatics continue on to the palate, as an element of smokiness comes through to create a weighty profile leads to a clean, textured and lengthy finish. Textbook Gewurztraminer.

 

About the wine: Hand-picked. Gewurztraminer grown on clay-limestone soils. Direct press, natural fermentation, malolactic then ageing in old oak demi-muid.

 

When to drink: Drink now or in the next 5-6 years.

 

Service: 10 to 12 degrees C.

 

Food match: Foie gras, Munster cheese, Lobster, Chinese and Indian cuisine.
