Palate: Medium bodied wine with great depth and intensity. Here we love that savoury earthiness and profound feels about the wine. This Santenay 1er Cru Clos Rousseau is darker than the village wine, with more weight yet with a certain finesse. Again the more you give time to the wine the deeper it gets, this is a wine of reflexion a wine of emotion like we love them so much.

About the wine: 45 years old vines from one of Santenay most beautiful terroir. The grapes are hand harvested, sorted and partially vinified whole bunches depending on the vintage. Long natural fermentation and maceration. Ageing 14 months in French oak barrels mostly old oak. No added winemaking producer even no sulphur during vinification. A small amount of sulphur is added before bottling yet the wines are elegant and precise. No filtration and no fining.
