Aromatics: Expressive with notes of fresh almonds and yeast with baked “brioche” notes, as well as white fruits.
Palate: This wine is showcasing rich, mature, and complex notes of Mirabelle plum, lemon zest, toast, and hazelnuts. Known for its creamy, dense texture and intense chalky minerality, this champagne is characterised by a slightly oxidative style and a long finish. We often nickname it the Montrachet of Champagne.
About the wine: A stunning grower Champagne, made with biodynamic farming methods. The Chardonnay is grown on chalk terroir in Montgueux near Troyes. Montgueux is one of the best places in Champagne to grow Chardonnay. 100% of the base wine is vinified in barrel, ageing 2 years in barrel. All in the cellar is done by gravity for this cuvee. Disgorement 12/2020. Brut Nature 0 g/l or no dosage. No filtration.
When to drink: Drink now or before 2030.
Service: 10 to 12 C degrees in a normal wine glass.
Food match: This Champagne works well with savory dishes, fried foods, shellfish, white sauce, or rich cheeses.
