Aromatics: Subtle and refine elegance, this wine is pretty with notes of rose flowers. This a lifted and perfumed almost in an old Burgundy way with plenty of vibrancy, spices, savoury earthy aromas. Lot's of nuances here, everything evole as you enjoy the wine slowly in your glass. Be patient let the wine come to you.

Palate: Lighter almost Jura red vide here, plenty of life and energy, definetly a wine that touch me when I first tasted Marius Bielle's wines. The tannins are soft and elegant, the wine nourish, filled with red fruits and smaller black berries. This wine doesn't speak loud yet it has a special type of depth of flavour. An experience of its own, a must try.

About the wine: The 2011 Bordeaux vintage was generally average in comparison to the iconic 2010 and 2009 however this is for me one of the highlight from this vintage I had the chance to taste. What a wine, now 12 years old, it has aged with grace and I couldn't recommend it enough as I also believe its good value for the caliber of wine it is. Natural fermentation, the wine is aged in concrete tanks with lofi winemaking yet the wines is elegant and precise. Unfined, unfiltred. Low sulphur.

When to drink: Decant for 30 min and drink now.

Service: 15 to 16 degrees C in Bordeaux glass.

Food match: Grilled meat dishes (beef or duck), grilled tuna dish or spatchcock in sauce.
