Terroir: Alluvial soils, South-West exposure. Lieu dit: ‘Les Cray’, 20% slope. Vines planted in 2019, 8,000 vines per hectare.
Grape: Douce Noire
Farming: Organic, Biodynamic certified
Aromatics: Black berries, spices and earthy character with notes of rose, prunes and cumin.
Palate: Fresh and lively on the palate, this is lighter style of medium bodied red with a charming mid palate and lovely black berries and earthy flavours.
About the wine: Soil work includes manual hand tilling and horse powered tilling. The grapes are harvested by hand and transported in small boxes to ensure they arrive in optimal quality. Whole bunch natural vinification for 15 days with light foot stumping. Slow press and transfer of the wine by gravity. Ageing in stainless steel tanks.
When to drink: Drink now or in the next 3-5 years.
