Soil: The slope faces east with only a shallow covering of soil overlying the mother rock, but breaks in the hard Jurassic limestone allow the roots to seek nourishment deep within the sub-soil. Pebbles and gravels in the valley bottom ensure good drainage.

Aromatics: Lifted and pretty aromas of raspberry, cherry and a beautiful stony character.
Palate: Vibrant and supple; this is delicious layered Chambolle with red fruits and red berries alternating with elegant earthy and silky personality.
About the wine: Hand harvested the grapes are sorted and then vinified destemmed with natural yeast in temperature-controlled tanks. Hand-harvested. Partially destemmed, fermented in temperature-controlled, stainless steel tanks on indigenous yeasts. Aged 45% in older French oak barrels and 55% in clay amphora and jars. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. The average percentage of wines ageing in amphora for the domaine is about 40% which is very unique in Burgundy and add purity of fruit and terroir transparency. Bottled unified and unfiltered or light filtration.
When to drink: Ready to drink now or in the next 8-10 years after vintage.
