Aromatics: Aromas of ripe apple, pear, white flowers, honeysuckle, lemon verbena and ginger with vibrant stony mineral notes.
Palate: Impressive energy, structured and livelyness on the palate. This is a beautiful example of Saumur Blanc Chenin with a deep sense of place, great tension, with notes of green apple, honey, and grapefruit. Long finish defined by "tuffeau" (limestone) minerality.
About the wine: Hand picked, natural fermentation in stainless-steel tanks. The wine is fermented for 30% in oak barrel to provide, structure and texture without overpowering the fruit. This is a dry Chenin Blanc with low residual sugar. Beautiful Saumur Blanc example, must try for all Chenin lovers!
When to drink: Ready to drink now or 4-6 years after vintage.
Service: 10-12 degrees.
Food match: Excellent with, roasted chicken, creamy pasta dishes, or fish/white meat.
