Aromatics: Beautiful notes of granny apples, white flowers, lime blossoms and citrus.
Palate: Beaufitul textured Anjou Chenin, savoury and generous. Lovely fleshyness and medium structured. Great tension and long finish with elegant and refreshing.
About the wine: The vines are prunned to Guyot Poussard, Ogereau and his team does a manual disbudding, lifting and leaf removal. Grapes are harvested by hand with different sortings. Whole bunch pressing and light must racking. No to moderate sulfiting at harvest (max. 2g/hl) Total and spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Short ageing on lees in underground vats tiled with sandstone. 18,954 bottles produced. Residual sugar 1.6g sugar/L.
When to drink: Ready to drink now or 8-10 years after vintage.
Service: 10-12 degrees.
Food match: Gastronomic Chenin Blanc, perfect with grilled fish in sauce and seafood. Also nice paired with a roasted chicken.
