Aromatics: Notes of freshly picked red berries, including strawberry and raspberries, alongside a fresh earthiness.
Palate: Juicy red cherry notes lead the palate with a supportive savoury spine, and fine, structural tannins to add complexity and length to an already layered wine.
About the wine: Handpicked Pinot Noir grown on marl-limestone soils. The grapes are destemmed and macerated for 16 days, following a light schedule of pumping over (four times in total). The wine is then aged in old oak foudres.
When to drink: Drink now or in the next 5-6 years.
Service: 10 to 12 degrees C.
Food match: Duck, beef, mushroom dishes, hard cheeses.
