Appellation: IGP Collines Rhodaniennes (Northern Rhone region)
Grape: Viognier (100%)
Farming: Organic (not certified)
Aromatics: A alluring blend of warm spice and stonefruits.
Palate: Opulent peach and apricot upfront, with a luscious mid palate weight, all balanced by persistent minerality and a lively, long finish.
About the wine: The Garon family are farming white wine vineyards in Condrieu, as well as this beautiful Viognier vineyard classified as a IGP Collines Rhodaniennes. The appellation once again doesn't dictate quality and we were very impressed by this cuvee from the first visit at the Domaine.
When to drink: Drink now or in the next 3 to 5 years.
Service: 12 degrees.
Food match: Seafood laksa
The Wine Front, Gary Walsh: 92/100
