Aromatics: Grapefruit and pineapple aromas, peach, nectarine, with a hint of white pepper spices.
Palate: Great tension and beautiful dynamic texture. We love the fleshiness of this wine and the balance between low residual sugar and acidity from the terroir. A true gastronomic wine!
About the wine: Work of the soil by ploughing to encourage deep roots for a better terroir expression. The vines that make this wine are in average 32 years old. Hand-picked, whole bunch pressing “a l’Alsacienne” with a pneumatic press, fermentation with natural yeast in stainless steel tanks. Ageing on lees for 10 months. Residual sugar 4.36 g/L
When to drink: Drink now or in the next 6-8 years after vintage.
Service: 8 to 10 C degrees in Riesling glass.
Food match: Perfect with a lemon and coriander marinated tuna or Thai prawns with coconut milk. Great with spicy dishes.
