Palate: Delicate and soft, lovely texture filled with red berries and fresh earthy character. Generous palate, good intensity and elegant finish, lots to love here! For me this is a great value Bourgogne rouge.
About the wine: 55 years old vines, 10,000 vines per hectare, 30 hl per hectare. An average of 5,000 bottles are produced each year. The grapes are hand harvested, sorted and destemmed, traditional vinification with natural yeasts fermentation, foot crushing, punching down and pumping over, 10 days cuvaison. Aging in stainless steel tanks. Bottled with no fining and no filtration.
When to drink: Ready to drink now or in the next 3-4 years after vintage.
Service: 14 degrees, Pinot Noir glass.
Food match: Boeuf bourguignon, roasted red meat with mushroom sauce, duck.
