Grapes: Niellucciu (100%) aka. Sangiovese

Aromatics: Fresh and vibrant nose, with beautiful notes of ripe red and black berries. Peperry and subtle herbal notes.
Palate: Charming medium bodied wine, with plenty of red & black fruit and liveliness on the palate. The texture is savory yet elegant with very fine tannins.
About the wine: Suchju means juice in Corsican. Hand harvest (low maturity 10.9%), whole bunch, vinification in concrete tanks, 5 days carbonic maceration. Light pumping over and punching down, infusion style. Aging in tanks for about 12 months, bottled without fining or filtration. Bottled in 1 liter bottle. Only a small amount of So2 is used at bottling and appears on the label. Very delicious, juicy lighter style Corsican reds!
When to drink: Ready to drink now.
Service: 12-14 degrees or slightly child.
Food match: Charcuterie platter, pizza, pasta bolognese or a red meat on the bbq.
